Off in the distance of the office you can hear someone padding around, and every so often comes the calling of a name. “Sue?”

After a pause the sound comes again, just a little loude, “Sue?”

There is such an echo in the increasingly empty spaces of the once larger company that the voice travels throughout quickly and easily. The voice sounds as if it comes from one wandering in a lost cave where around any turn could be a serial torturer.

You can hear the slight tremble that betrays the bit of fear in the voice as it calls out, softly, but hesitantly, so as not to be found or identified.

About Laurissa Doonan

I'm a marketer. I've been a professional marketer for over 25 years, but in reality, I have always been one. Marketing to me is about communicating effectively, regardless of platform, regardless of channel. Marketing is understanding both your objectives and your audience, and finding the right method and message for your customers to reach them where they are. Now I dedicate my efforts to helping very small and small companies pursue their passions and grow their businesses through marketing; providing agency trained expertise without the overhead.
